Summary

  • I have been practicing integrative breast oncology now for 17 years (2024) and counting, and I have spent half of my career in academics (University of Miami) and half of my career in the for-profit industry (Cancer Treatment Centers of America) where I served as their Enterprise Medical Director and helped CTCA become a top enroller for the ASCO TAPUR study, the first basket study run by ASCO utilizing over 18 FDA approved drugs to be used in other cancer types/indications. I am now returned to academics, and serve as an Associate Professor at the Cardinal Bernadin Cancer Center with Loyola University Medical Center. I typically see patients exclusively with breast cancer, but I am available for integrative medicine consultations for any patient looking for local resources and integrative modalities to complement their conventional cancer treatment if they are already being seen at Loyola. My goal is to take the best practices in integrative oncology and make them standardized for all major academic centers participating in SWOG/ECOG/NRG cooperative groups. I am passionate about empowering patients to be their own healer, and I included here on my Doximity profile: a video/webinar I did for SIO as a good representation of how I look to protect my patients from 'life'.
