- Dr. Ekpe is a board eligible Obstetrician and Gynecologist and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency from the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology while earning distinction in her major, magna cum laude, and membership into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She obtained her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and was selected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She also obtained her Masters in Public Health at Columbia with a concentration in Family and Population Health. She aspires to work in underserved areas in her future career by integrating both her interests in medicine and global health. She is currently the Global Women's Health and Equity fellow at the University of Toronto. She will be the Reproductive Health Team Lead at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya beginning in the summer 2024.
