Summary
- I am a board certified Family Medicine Physician and a Primary Care Sports Medicine specialist with a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine. I completed medical school at ATSU-KCOM in Kirksville, MO. I completed Family Medicine residency and served as Chief Resident at University of Missouri. Additionally I completed my Sports Medicine Fellowship at University of Missouri where I assisted as team physician for University of Missouri Athletics and served as team physician for Stephens College Athletics. I have an undergraduate background as a competitor in collegiate athletics as well as in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Nutrition, and Biomechanics (Exercise Science), all of which complement my expertise in sports medicine. I am a husband and father who enjoys being active in my time spent with family and friends. I hope to reach as many people as I can through my abilities as a physician in an attempt to maximize their physical and mental health and well being, and their ability to achieve whatever physical activity and fitness goals they might have - from walking or moving pain free to competing and performing in their sport or activity at the highest level.
My practice includes a primary care clinic where I enjoy treating all ages and conditions, with interests in cardiovascular medicine, preventive medicine, exercise as medicine, and a number of other disciplines. I provide women's health services and vasectomies. I also see patients in an orthopedic sports medicine clinic where I treat sports and musculoskeletal related injuries and concerns. I specialize in fracture management, stress fractures, tendon injuries and overuse conditions, peripheral nerve conditions, ultrasound guided procedures, and more. My professional hobbies include an interest in Wilderness Medicine and Endurance Athlete and Team Sports training.
