Summary
- I have experience in adult, child, and forensic psychiatry. I have completed two fellowships and am boarded in all three areas. I have many years of post-training experience and feel comfortable with most diagnosis. I have experience in managing conditions ranging from simple depression to anxiety to psychosis.
My area of expertise, and that which gives me the most satisfaction, is working with the 'doubly gifted' i.e. high performing kids/adolescents/adults who have additional issues such as ADHD, ASD, OCD, mood and anxiety disorders. About 60% of my practice is a combination of medication and therapy, with the remaining 40% being more medication management and co-managing cases with psychologists on my team. I consider my approach to be integrative leaning towards the dynamic and behavioral approach in therapy with my theoretical background being object relations and developmental psychology.
In my personal life, I enjoy cooking, travelling, hobby photography, spending time with my family and exploring alternative medicine practices. I have spent 2 + years living and working abroad in The Peoples Republic of China.
