Dr. Garcia is a native of Central Louisiana and aside from time away while training has lived in the area his whole life. He joined the Freedman Clinic of Internal Medicine in 2005 and has a specialty in both internal medicine and sleep medicine. After graduating high school for Menard High School here in Alexandria he obtained a bachelor’s of science from Baylor University in Waco Texas. His medical degree is from the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, and his internal medicine training was completed at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield Massachusetts which is an affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine.

After his training he moved back to Central Louisiana with his wife Kourtney. They enjoy living here in Alexandria and raising their two children Sydney and Webb, along with their three dogs, two cats, and two rabbits. Dr. Garcia is also a proud member of Calvary Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher.

Dr. Garcia sees patients at the office and also follows his patients at Christus Cabrini Hospital when they are hospitalized. He is the medical director of the Christus Cabrini Sleep Center and has an active specialty sleep practice in conjunction with his primary care practice.
