Summary

• I’m a seasoned Hospitalist and an Associate Medical Director for a large, single site, Hospital Medicine department. In addition to extensive traditional hospitalist and medical directorship duties, I am an expert in Medical Coding, Status Determination, and Clinical Informatics. Uniquely, I have incorporated computers, programming and databases into the functioning of the department with proven and significant gains.
  
  I have presented at the Society of Hospital Medicine the use of ‘Computerized Patient Assignment’ to put the best doctor at the patient’s bedside and continue to refine our hospital medicine computer program to gain insight and efficiencies. Additionally, I was awarded the Guardian Angel by Our Lady of the Lake for significant insights into furthering patient safety for the hospital.

  After graduating from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, I obtained my MD and completed an internal medicine residency at Louisiana State University in Shreveport.
