Summary
- Audacious Goal: Combine the strengths of telemedicine with the growing capabilities of automating the ophthalmic exam to be able to diagnose and treat the major causes of vision loss worldwide, regardless of current accessibility to healthcare. That might mean detecting amblyopia, refractive errors, strabismus and glaucoma through remote sensing devices, or delivering medications by drones, cutting of spectacle lenses through CNC technology, or providing cataract surgery and intravitreal injections robotically. The dream is within reach.
