His research focuses on understanding the epidemiology and natural history of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), with the overall goal of improving patient care and outcomes in EoE.

Dr. Low completed a specialized, one-year advanced fellowship focused on esophageal diseases at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where he also completed fellowship and residency training in gastroenterology. He completed his medical degree at UC San Francisco School of Medicine and also holds a Master of Public Health degree with a focus on epidemiology and biostatistics from Loma Linda University.
