Summary

• I am an advanced practice oncology practitioner with over 13 years of experience in the care of pediatric and adult cancer patients. In 2002, I earned her Bachelor’s Degree from The George Mason University and her Master’s Degree from The Catholic University of America in 2010, both with honors. I then went on to attain my adult and pediatric nurse practitioner certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and subsequently received the coveted Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner certification through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation. I continue to be a valuable member of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center since 2017, playing a key role in the multidisciplinary care of breast oncology patients. Using my expertise in symptom management, I anticipate the needs of oncology patients while incorporating state-of-art chemotherapy and biologic therapy, with emphasis on recruitment for Phase I/II/III clinical trials. I am also well versed in survivorship and end-of-life care, collaborating with providers across multiple disciplines. I also have a special interest in quality improvement projects maintaining the quality of life in oncology survivorship care.
  Outside of clinic, I am enthusiastic about education. I serve as a clinical preceptor for the UNC Graduate School of Nursing and Physician Assistants. I am also a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, American Society of clinical Oncology, North Carolina Nurses Association, and the American Nurses Association.
