    Dr Elizabeth Ann Ignacio is an Interventional Radiologist who practices throughout Hawaii state. She received her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and completed Interventional Radiology at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute.


    In her 22+ years of clinical practice, Dr Ignacio has served the radiology profession on many work groups, task forces and committees for the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and the American College of Radiology (ACR).  Dr Ignacio is presently serving in a 3rd term as a CSC Delegate for the ACR, and is a member of the ACR IR Commission. Dr Ignacio is the present Chair of the Small and Rural Practice Subcommittee of SIR Practice Development. She serves on the SIR Underrepresented Minorities (URM) section and the SIR Government Affairs Committee. She represents Hawaii on the Radiology Health Equity Coalition (RHEC).  Dr Ignacio is a Fellow of the ACR (2022) and also a Fellow of the SIR (2016).  


    A past president of the Hawaii Radiological Society (HRS), Dr Ignacio is President Elect of the state Hawaii Medical Association (HMA) and Chair of the HMA Public Policy Committee.  She was appointed by Gov Green to the Hawaii Medical Board, and was confirmed by the Senate May 2023. Dr Ignacio is a dynamic advocate for physicians and their patients, and she has supported and advanced health measures, co-authored bills and provided extensive written and live testimony at legislature hearings. She has focused on Quality and Safety measures and has chaired consensus panels for numerous practice parameters and technical standards in her field. Dr Ignacio is a strongly committed IR physician who continues state and federal advocacy efforts with SIR ACR and AMA for health equity and healthcare workforce challenges.
