Dr. Elie Hamaoui is an internist/nutritionist in Brooklyn, NY and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Maimonides Medical Center and Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System. He received his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine, did his residency training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and completed fellowship training in Nutrition and Metabolism at Columbia University. He has lectured and published on several topics in Clinical Nutrition, including nutrition in pregnancy, surgical nutrition, tube feeding, etc. He currently heads the Metabolic Support Service at Maimonides Medical Center, and he has a large practice in weight reduction at the Maimonides Nutrition Center in conjunction with the Bariatric Surgery program.
