She came to the US on the US Congress Scholarship and completed Master's Degree in Public Health with the focus in Epidemiology. She completed Residency in Psychiatry and Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at the UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ ( now Rutgers Medical School). Dr. Volfson was on faculty at Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania for 8 years and at Mayo College of Medicine for 5 years. Dr. Volfson has been in practice for 21 years.
