- Eellan Sivanesan is faculty of the Johns Hopkins Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, Division of Pain Medicine. He treats patients with chronic back, joint, abdominal, pelvic, headache, neuropathic, cancer, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), post-amputation, and other pain conditions at the Blaustein Pain Treatment Center. He performs fluoroscopically and ultrasound guided interventions such as injections of peripheral nerves, muscles, joints, thermal radiofrequency ablation, pulsed radiofrequency ablation, and various chemodenervation procedures.
Dr. Sivanesan also utilizes advanced neuromodulation techniques to treat a range of chronic pain conditions. He is specialized in all modalities of spinal cord stimulation including the latest technologies such as High Frequency stimulation, Burst stimulation, and High Density stimulation. He is also an expert in Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, and intrathecal drug delivery. He is a committee member of the International Neuromodulation Society (INS), the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA), and the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS).
