- Dr. Edward Lahey is currently the Chairman of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Associate Dean for Hospital Affairs and Associate Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He previously served as the medical director and quality and safety chair for the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital.
His clinical focus is corrective jaw surgery for management of congenital and acquired deformities as well as obstructive sleep apnea, the use of endoscopy to manage obstructive salivary gland disease, surgical removal of salivary glands due to benign pathology, repair of cranial nerve injuries as well as outpatient dentoalveolar procedures including removal of impacted wisdom teeth and placement of dental implants and the delivery of ambulatory anesthesia.
