He has a particular interest in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, total ankle arthroplasty, deformity correction, sports-related injuries, and fracture care.
Dr. Hur is originally from Michigan and attended the University of Michigan where he participated in the long jump for the varsity track and field team and gained honors including Academic All-Big Ten Honors and Big-Ten Distinguished Scholar. He continued his education in Ann Arbor, MI where he attended the University of Michigan Medical School. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He further specialized his training and completed an orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery fellowship at the Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center where he learned from leaders in the field and gained extensive experience in the treatment of foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. Hur is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society. He is committed to contributing to the field through conducting research and training future orthopedic surgeons as part of the Rush University orthopedic residency and fellowship programs.
