Summary
- Edward Forhman is an anesthesiologist based in Los Angeles who is currently the CEO of Fohrman Anesthesiology Services, Inc. His goal is to provide his patients with safe and passionate care by using anesthesia efficiently through state-of-the-art technology and modern equipment. He believes that being able to practice medicine and help heal people is a great privilege.
Edward recognizes that anesthesiology is an art based on science. Many patients don’t meet their anesthesiologist until right before their surgery. Edward understands the importance of supporting the patient and their family during this stressful time.
Edward Fohrman originally received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University and later spent a year at Georgetown University Neuroscience Institute performing research. After completing his education he joined a large private practice in California and served as an adjunct clinical faculty member at Stanford.
A few years later he joined the faculty at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. His focus was in neuroanesthesia. He also served as a medico-legal consultant during this time.
In 2010 Edward Fohrman returned to California to work in a major trauma center. He currently focuses on ambulatory and outpatient surgery. He's acknowledged as an expert in the area of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia techniques as well as outpatient spine surgery.
Edward is a member of a variety of professional groups including American Society of Anesthesiology (ASA), the California Society of Anesthesiologists (CSA) and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia (ASRA).
