Summary

Dr. Edmund Cibas is a Boston-based pathologist specializing in cytopathology and anatomic pathology. He completed his medical education at Harvard Medical School followed by residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital and fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. His expertise includes mesothelioma, fine needle aspiration, and diseases of the cervix and thyroid. Dr. Cibas has authored numerous publications, many in prominent journals such as The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, Cancer Cytopathology, and Annals of Internal Medicine. He has received numerous awards, including the Excellence in Education Award and the Papanicolaou Award, both from the American Society of Cytopathology. He was promoted to Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School in 2012.
