- Dr. Edith Ho is a Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and the Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Program at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease while also practicing general gastroenterology.
Previously, Dr. Ho was a faculty member at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where she served as the Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program at the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Additionally, she was the Co-Director of the Fecal Microbiota Transplantation Program at the VA, where she established the first fecal transplant program in the U.S. Veterans Affairs healthcare system.
Dr. Ho is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the American Board of Gastroenterology. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGAF). She actively contributes to the national American College of Gastroenterology Research Committee and Educational Affairs Committee, where she has chaired multiple abstract committees, directed regional postgraduate courses, and developed CME content for the American Journal of Gastroenterology.
Furthermore, Dr. Ho served on the American Gastroenterological Association Institute Clinical Guidelines Committee as a guideline author for the medical management of moderate to severe Crohn’s disease.
