Summary

  • I am a board certified gastroenterologist and advanced endoscopist focusing on diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (EUS, ERCP, Deep Enteroscopy, EMR, ESD, POEM), new techniques and technologies, clinical research and improvements in GI quality and patient care. In addition to striving for the best outcomes for patients with difficult GI conditions, I have also focused on creating highly efficient care environments for that coordinate multiple specialties within the broader environment of digestive health. I have been the medical director of gastroenterology at 3 major medical centers and have begun digestive health institutes at 2. I have created and helped bring to market new medical devices and continue to explore designs and technologies that may help make GI procedures safer, more effective and less costly. I have remained active in teaching, lecturing and GI societies and have held the position of clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of Washington. At the end of the day, my greatest satisfaction comes from helping patients with difficult or complex digestive health issues.
