- Dr. Douglass Hutcheon is a hospitalist and the Chief of Hospital Medicine and Associate Chief of Medicine at the Los Angeles General Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA. LA General is the flagship hospital of Los Angeles County's public hospital system and is also the teaching hospital for the Keck School of Medicine of USC and, as such, is one of the largest and busiest teaching hospitalist in the country. LA General provides cutting edge, innovative care to a diverse, historically underserved patient population.
Dr. Hutcheon has proudly practiced at LA General since 2014. He is passionate about developing innovative strategies of delivering high quality care in a resource-limited setting. He is also a dedicated physician educator and mentor.
