Overview of Dr. Brchan
Dr. Brchan was born in Los Angeles, California and is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Iowa, Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, IA. Her residency and fellowship were in Pediatric Neurology at the University of Colorado/Children's Hospital Colorado. She also completed an additional fellowship in Headache Medicine at Children's Mercy Kansas City.
Dr. Brchan is double board-certified in pediatric neurology and headache medicine with the unique experience of being only one of two pediatric neurologists in the state of Alaska for about 2 years.
She is a member of the Child Neurology Society as well as the American Headache Society. She has a special interest in integrative/functional headache management as well as headache management in pediatric and adolescents. She is a devoted Army wife with two young daughters.
Her family is currently stationed at Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, AZ. They have two golden retrievers. Church community is a high priority for her family and they are actively involved in church activities throughout the week. Hobbies include primarily family time but also reading and baking.
