Of special interest to Dr. McNeil are patients who have immune deficiencies or angioedema. He has traveled widely to speak about angioedema and meet patients with all types of the condition.
Dr. McNeil is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at The Ohio State University and does Allergy Training for the OSU ENT Residency Program. In addition to being on the medical teaching staff of Mt. Carmel, Doctors and Riverside Methodist Hospitals, Dr. McNeil is also on the consulting staff of Grant Hospital in Columbus and Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio. A member of the American College of Physicians, Dr. McNeil is board certified in allergy, immunology and internal medicine. He has published numerous articles related to asthma, allergy and immunology.
Dr. McNeil is president, founder, and principal investigator at Optimed Research, and has over 20 years of research experience. Certified as a clinical investigator since June, 2005, Dr. McNeil has conducted research studies in the following areas: Pneumonia, sinusitis, bronchitis, CVID, allergic rhinitis, rheumatoid arthritis, hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, osteoarthritis pain, hereditary angioedema, diabetes, and asthma.
Dr. McNeil founded Optimed Infusion LLC. in 1999 and is the Medical Director. He provides oversight of the infusion clinic, which administers IVIg treatments to patients with immunodeficiency in the Columbus, Ohio area.
