Summary
- I naturally have a high energy level and a lot of motivation and creativity. Having started out penniless and attending college and medical school on scholarships and limited savings I Completed Medical education at Baylor College of Medicine in 3 years then I completed my orthopaedic residency that emphasized Knee & Hip total joint and arthroscopic reconstruction & Trauma supplementing that education with a unique hands-on Upper Extremity fellowship. I then rejuvenated and flipped a disabled orthopaedist's spine & total joint practice in Arizona. Then I set up a 2 location general ortho practice in Santa Cruz Co. CA. I was involved in one of the state's first ASCs as the highest producer. 8 years of that and I moved to the nation's heartland, Nebraska. I 1/2 years into a failed partnership with a sociopath doing spine total joints and everything else (170 patients operated upon per month combined). I re-established myself as a solo general orthopaedist subspecializing in the upper extremity out of 4 locations across the state. Obamacare resulted in reducing to 3 offices. Home base is Grand Island. Satellites are Lincoln and Omaha. I am among only a very few orthopaedists skilled in nerve conduction studies and utilize that extensively in patient management. I have written over 15 custom patient brochures, set up one of the first and most complete ortho websites in 1999 and after 4 versions revamped it again in 2018 into a subspecialty site. I have also prepared 3 studies just about ready for publication. Meanwhile since 2006 I have been partnered in an Omaha ASC with a larger ortho group. There I was the 3rd largest producer for the first 10 years despite 3 offices 300, 150 and 50 miles away!
I maintain a huge patient outcome database for outcomes research. In fact, probably the only one in Nebraska.
I need to be adequately compensated for my much higher productivity, efficiency and quality of care-not manipulated for corporate gain. I
