Summary
- I am a cardiac electrophysiologist which means I am a cardiologist who focuses on heart rhythm disease. I am actively involved in helping patients feel better by treating both benign but symptomatic rhythm disorders as well as more serious heart rhythm disorders. My practice includes care of atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia, congestive heart failure care through device therapy, protection from sudden cardiac death in at-risk patients and optimizing energy with appropriate pacing therapy. In addition to performing cardiac ablations and transvenous device implantation, I am also actively involved in lead extraction, physiologic pacing, leadless pacing and subcutaneous ICD implantation. I have a specific interest in the diagnosis and management of inherited arrhythmia disorders such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, Long QT Syndrome, Brugada Syndrome, Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy, Short QT Syndrome and Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia. I am the Director of the Genetic Arrhythmia Program at Hackensack University Medical Center.
