- Dmitry Gorelik, MD, has been practicing medicine since 2010 in the NJ/NY region. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Nuclear Medicine. He has extensive experience in non-invasive vascular imaging, Cardiac CAT Scan Imaging and Cardiac MRI, allowing him to have a broad knowledge base of all imaging modalities necessary to help guide decision-making for patients. Dr. Gorelik performs diagnostic and non-invasive testing ranging from exercise stress tests and echocardiograms to various types of vascular ultrasounds using state of the art technology. These tests are helpful in diagnosing and treating a range of conditions including atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, and congestive heart failure, among many others. He has enthusiastically joined Physician Specialists of Northern Jersey to manage the Cardiology aspect of our Practice.
Dr. Dmitry Gorelik has studied and excelled in prestigious schools and universities. After graduating Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, with his Bachelor’s degree, he enrolled in the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel, where he graduated with his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2001. His post-graduate training began with his internship at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. He followed that with his residency at Saint Barnabas in Livingston, NJ. Dr. Gorelik then did post-doctoral research at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. He finished his training with a three-year fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Buffalo, NY.
His personal approach to care for every single patient as if they were his own family member helps patients understand they are receiving personalized attention. Every patient is treated as an individual with a unique approach to their specific cardiovascular symptoms and diagnoses. He enjoys addressing risk factor control of hypertension and lipid/cholesterol management.
