- • US trained physician with 30 years of clinical experience in pediatrics, of which 27 years were devoted solely to the practice of neonatal-perinatal medicine.
• Extensive experience in medical education, mentorship, pediatric protocol and policy development and implementation, unit and hospital leadership, including collaboration with medical colleagues of many specialties, inside and outside of Monmouth Medical Center (MMC).
• Initiation, development, surveillance and completion of clinical research projects in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and participation in clinical research projects in the New Jersey NICU Collaborative.
• As medical director was responsible for NICU operations, scheduling, budget, and safety initiatives in concert with both hospital (MMC) administrators and employer’s (Pediatrix) representatives. Successful navigation and blending of hospital and company goals. Also responsible for the identification, development and promotion of behaviors and goals (Shared Principles) for the members of the NICU medical team.
• Devoted decades as a neonatologist and also served as medical director of a multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental clinic to help ensure successful transition, excellent health and long term outcomes of premature infants after NICU hospitalization, and at the same time providing essential community outreach.
