• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center to provide mental health care for patients of all ages and is licensed to practice in both Tennessee and Mississippi. He finished his Masters of Science in
  Nursing at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center as a Clinical Nurse Leader, and went on to complete a Post-Masters Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at
  Union University. Derrick has several years of experience caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including at Parkwood Behavioral Health System and St. Francis
  Hospital. He is also board certified by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses to care for critically ill adult patients, and has utilized his expertise in caring for veterans at the VA
  Medical Center in Memphis for several years in the surgical and medical intensive care units. His training and experience enable him to provide a more holistic approach in his practice. He is
  a member of the American Nurses Association, Tennessee Nurses Association, and American Psychiatric Nursing Association and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing during his academic experience. He also serves our country as an officer in the Army Medical Department for the U.S. Army Reserve.
