Summary
- I am a board-certified General Internist and take care of adults both in clinic and in the hospital setting. I have strong interests in quality improvement and patient safety and always seek to understand and improve the healthcare system for colleagues and patients.
I completed my Internal Medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in 2021 and then completed an additional year of training and practice as a Chief Resident in Quality and Patient Safety at the Iowa City VA Medical Center in 2022. Before that, I received my medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine in 2018. Through all my training, I've been consistently shown the importance of striving to make care safer for patients and colleagues, and I greatly enjoy teaching learners how to think about those problems and develop solutions for themselves and each other.
Outside the hospital, I love spending time with my wife and children, getting outside, reading fiction, working out at the YMCA, Husker football, camping and grilling. I enjoy all the experiences and excitement that having two young boys and a dog bring.
I am honored to care for adults as they go through life and am committed to helping them achieve their health goals.
