- Dr. Mays is a board certified, residency trained, emergency medicine physician licensed to practice in the states of Tennessee and Hawaii. He received education and training in the states of West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Oklahoma, and California. He served as Chief Resident in his final year of residency. He is an independent contractor with TEAMHealth. He is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Mays also serves as a preceptor and educator of students from East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine and Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he has adjunct faculty appointment.
