Summary
- I am a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in spine surgery. I see patients at Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group at the Mount Kisco, Carmel, Newburgh locations in New York, and the Danbury location in Connecticut.
My clinical focus is on caring for everyday neck and back injuries, whether it be from acute traumas such as fractures or herniations, chronic degenerative conditions such as arthritis and stenosis, or spinal deformities. My main goal is to promote the health of the vertebral column, spinal cord and nerve roots to decrease pain and improve function for my patients, ultimately getting them back to their active lifestyles.
I am trained in complex cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine surgeries with a particular focus on motion preserving procedures such as Total Disc Replacement, as well as minimally invasive spine surgery such as endoscopic spine surgery. I utilize the latest technologies in navigation and robotics for fusion procedures.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Columbia College, Columbia University, graduating with the highest honors of Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. I then completed a dual Medical Degree and Master of Public Health Degree from State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine, graduating at the top of my class with the highest honors of Alpha Omega Alpha and Beta Ioda Chapter of Delta Omega. I went on to complete a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra Northwell where I graduated as chief resident. Following residency, I completed a spine surgery fellowship at the prestigious Texas Back Institute, which pioneered Total Disc Replacement in the United States.
