Summary
- Dean J. Kereiakes, M.D., FACC, MSCAI is Chairman of The Christ Hospital Heart and Vascular Institute, Medical Director of the Christ Hospital Research Institute, and Professor of Clinical Medicine at The Ohio State University. Dr. Kereiakes has been an original investigator for most of the interventional technologies introduced in the last three decades and has performed more than 30,000 catheterization laboratory procedures. In addition to lecturing nationally and internationally, Dr. Kereiakes is active as a scientific investigator and has participated in over 1,600 clinical research protocols. He has published over 1,000 scientific journal articles, abstracts and book chapters. He has served on the editorial boards of Circulation, The Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC), Journal of the American College of Cardiology Cardiovascular Interventions, The American Heart Journal, The American Journal of Cardiology and is currently Deputy Editor for Journal of The Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention (JSCAI). He was previously Section Editor for Circulation and received the Simon Dack Award for Outstanding Scholarship from JACC in 2011. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Sciences from University of Cincinnati in 2014 and was named an Outstanding Alumnus of U.C. College of Medicine.
