Summary

  • In 2007 I got re-tooled to do psychotherapy. I studied with a number of people who are integrating the recent neuroscience research into clinical practice. I do what I call Medical Psychotherapy.
One aspect is to help people who have a medical diagnosis which they are not at peace with i.e. not able, willing or ready to take on a new life style change to address the disease. Somatic Transformation (one modality I employ) assists people in sorting out the patterns of old conditioning that sabotage present moment needs. A diabetic who has compensated for a miserable opinion of life and herself, uses sugar to self-sooth, is going to have a rough time altering her eating habits until the "context" of her actions are understood and re-patterned.
