Summary
- As Regional Chief of Surgery for MedStar Health I hope to continually improve peri-operative quality and safety for our region. In addition, we work with our team in designing market leadership initiatives at each of the four MedStar Health hospitals located in the Baltimore Region: MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, MedStar Harbor Hospital, MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, and MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital.
In tandem, I serve as Chair of Surgery at MedStar Franklin Square and at MedStar Harbor Hospital. Here, I am focused on the development and implementation of an innovative, outcomes-optimized surgical services program, to benefit patients undergoing general, minimally invasive, and robotic procedures in the hospital’s state-of-the-art, 82,000 square-foot Surgical Pavilion.
My clinical goal is to provide expert, compassionate, and technologically advanced care to patients with diseases of the intestines and anorectum.
My focus includes the laparoscopic treatment of colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, as well as unique treatments for hemorrhoidal disease and fecal incontinence.
