Summary
- I am a board-certified anesthesiologist with additional board certification in pain management from the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians (ABIPP). I completed two years of general surgery residency at UCLA and a full anesthesiology residency at the University of Minnesota, where I am currently Adjunct Professor of Anesthesiology. I practiced operating room anesthesia from 1987 through 1995 at a level-one trauma center in Minneapolis where I served as director of the Anesthesiology Pain Service and Post Anesthesia Care Unit. I have been a full-time interventional pain specialist since 1995. I am founder and president of Nura Pain Clinics and I own and operate office-based pain clinics and single specialty pain management ambulatory surgery centers in Minnesota. My medical practice provides multidisciplinary pain management, which includes intervention procedures, physical therapy, and psychology services. I specialize in implantable pain control and routinely trial, implant and manage patients with neurostimulation systems and intrathecal infusion pumps.
