Summary

• Dr. David Schlossman is a retired medical oncologist and practicing clinical informaticist based in Columbia, MO. He completed his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology, as well as his residency, at Duke University Hospital. He holds a medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, along with a PhD in Biochemistry from the same institution, and an MS in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University. Dr. Schlossman has contributed to the medical literature with several publications, including works on electronic health records (EHRs), non-Hodgkin's lymphoma treatment, and immunotoxins for T-acute lymphoblastic leukemic meningitis, which have been cited multiple times in academic circles. He currently teaches a course on Human Factors in Healthcare IT at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Graduate Program in Health Informatics and works with the HL7 EHR Work Group on standards-based approaches to reducing clinician burden and burnout.
