Summary
- I attended medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons where I obtained my MD. I then completed residency in orthopaedic surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo. I subsequently completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction at Harvard Medical School, Brigham & Women’s Hospital.
I offer comprehensive, operative and nonoperative treatment of the shoulder, including rotator cuff and labral tears, complex shoulder instability, fractures, and replacement including both anatomic and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. I also perform hip and knee arthroscopy for sports injuries and pre-arthritic conditions. At the forefront of biologic joint preservation for active patients with meniscus or cartilage problems, I further specialize in complex meniscus repair, meniscus transplant, cartilage transplant (including MACI), corrective osteotomies, and as of March 2019, I have become one of the few FDA certified providers of the “Collagen Meniscal Implant” in New York State. I also care for exertional compartment syndrome, Achilles tendon ruptures, and other sports injuries.
I am board certified in orthopaedic surgery and offer complete orthopaedic evaluations with current, evidence-based treatment options. I care for many area high school, collegiate, and recreational/weekend warrior athletes. I am a native Rochesterian and a graduate of Pittsford Sutherland High School. I received my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and enjoy outdoor sports, listening to and playing music, and spending time with family and friends.
