Summary
- My career experience has evolved over nearly two decades; spanning Global Business Management in the Medical Device Industry, Value Research in Healthcare, and most recently the Surgical Care of patients in the Operating Room.
Much of my early career was spent developing and commercializing technologies related to Lung Cancer at Boston Scientific Corporation. Starting in 2007, my professional focus evolved to entrepreneurism and Management Consulting to accommodate academic pursuits in clinical medicine and health policy. Since then, I have gained further experience with early phase and traditional brick and mortar medical device companies. Most recently, this has included a successful exit from Beacon Endoscopic to Covidien, Ltd now Medtronic.
Graduate School at Dartmouth provided me with an academic opportunity to model multi-institutional biomedical translational research systems. The goal of this work is to better understand how to accelerate the delivery of impactful discoveries to clinics and markets around the world. During medical school at Yale, I also co-founded their cross-disciplinary Healthcare Improvement Group that spanned the Schools of Management, Public Health, Law, and Arts and Science.
As a surgeon, I can better understand the successes, value and challenges that technology brings to health care delivery. This is paralleled by my academic research on clinical outcomes and generating the clinical data that enables cost savings in the operating room through better preoperative planning.
Have an idea? Let’s start a conversation. I’m always open to new opportunities and challenges.
