Dr. David Kaufman is an internal medicine specialist based in Seattle, WA. He completed his medical education and residency at New York Medical College and St Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York. Dr. Kaufman holds a B.F.A. from New York University and an M.A. from Columbia University Teachers College. His clinical expertise includes ME/CFS, Long Covid, dysautonomia, POTS, MCAS, Lyme disease, and autoimmune disease. He is published in several medical journals, with notable work on HIV/AIDS and mast cell activation syndrome. Dr. Kaufman holds a Diplomate from the American Board of Internal Medicine, achieved in 1980, and is a member of the ME/CFS Clinicians Collaborative, and the ME/CFS Collaborative Research Center at Stanford. He is a MEAction board member, and is on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Open Medicine Foundation.
