Summary
- I have practiced general adult neurosurgery in Knoxville, Tennessee for 30 years. I have extensive experience in cranial, spinal and peripheral nerve disorders. I have been a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery since 1994 and participate in their Maintenance of Certification program. I am a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
I have a special interest in neuro-oncology and Gamma Knife radiosurgery. I am a member of the International Leksell Gamma Knife Society and the International Radiosurgery Association. I have been Medical Director of Fort Sanders Regional Gamma Knife Center since 2011 and was the Medical Director of the Baptist Regional Gamma Knife Center from, 2004-2010. I hold a Trustworthy and Reliable Designation from the Federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
In addition I have held a number of hospital committee appointments including Chief of Staff, Chief of Surgery, Board Member and a member of our hospital's Medical Executive Committee.
I have extensive experience in Workers Compensation, Independent Medical Examinations, and medical case reviews including insurance claims and medical malpractice cases. I currently serve as a consultant for RTI
Technologies, a spinal instrumentation company.
