- I am a Board-certified Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist (PHO), Associate Professor level-clinical educator track. I have extensive military medical experience, with a well-rounded skill set in leadership, education and personnel management, adept at working in a team setting and providing a functional long-term stability. As a highly skilled clinician, I have diverse areas of excellence including general pediatric oncology, malignant blood disorders, solid tumors, Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) medicine, and hematology to include sickle cell disease, coagulation, and non-malignant hematology. As a previous APD, I am committed to teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and PHO fellows. I have comprehensive knowledge of Children’s Oncology Group (COG) protocols and clinical research and strong understanding of Internal Review Board (IRB) methods. I also have leadership knowledge in quality improvement and patient safety.
