David Giammittorio, MD, is an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist based in Alexandria, VA. He completed his medical education and residency at Providence Hospital and Virginia Commonwealth University, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Giammittorio is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).
He founded and was CEO of The Physician and Midwife Collaborative Practice. A group of 10 physicians and 15 midwives serving Northern Virginia.
He served two terms on the Virginia Board of Medicine as well as the Admission committee for the Medical College of Virginia. He retired from active practice in January 2020.
