- Dr. David de Ángel Solá is a Pediatrician with sub-specialties in Pediatric Pulmonology and in adult and pediatric Sleep Medicine. He practices in Hartford, CT (USA) , and the San Juan Metropolitan Area in Puerto Rico. Dr. De Ángel acquired his MD from the School of Medicine of the University of Puerto Rico in 2012 and proceeded to complete a Pediatrics residency at the San Juan City Hospital (2015). He then moved to the United States to pursue fellowships in Pediatric Pulmonology (2018) and Sleep (2019) under the Yale School of Medicine, where he subsequently practiced as part-time faculty for 4 years. Currently, he practices mainly in academic settings, including under the Veterans Affairs Caribbean Healthcare System's Department of Neurology (Section of Sleep Medicine), the San Juan City Hospital's Department of Pediatrics (Section of Pediatric Pulmonology), and Hospital Auxilio Mutuo Center for Sleep Disorders. Additionally he holds the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor under the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and works at Connecticut Children's' Medical Center (CCMC). His private practice focuses on rare respiratory diseases and uncommon sleep disorders.
As a physician-scientist and academician, he has made significant contributions to research, with publications that focus on airway diseases in marginalized populations.
