Summary

  • It’s not easy finding mental health providers. Unlike other specialties, a sense of connection with one’s psychiatrist can be essential to treatment. As a psychiatrist in private practice, I see patients with a wide variety of conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorder, and insomnia. I offer psychiatric consultations, psychotherapy, and medication management. I treat adults 21 and older. While the goal of most mental health practitioners would be to help you feel better, over the years, I’ve come to realize that my approach may differ from that of other psychiatrists.

I see patients with psychosomatic conditions. Psychosomatic medicine means that your mind and body influence each other. It considers mental, physical, social, and environmental factors, all of which I take into account when treating my patients. I offer psychotherapy and medication management. I'm in network with Aetna and am adding more.

Before we work together, all patients start with a psychiatric consultation. A psychiatric consultation is an in depth discussion with you. The consultation gives us the opportunity to see if we can work together and establish a therapeutic relationship for psychotherapy, medication management, or both. This consultation lasts approximately 75 - 90 minutes.
