Dr. David Blais is a retired hospitalist / internist in Virginia, VA and was affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Sentara Leigh Hospital, Sentara Bayside and Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He received his medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, completed a medical residency at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia and practiced 38 years till retiring in 2023. He specialized in hospital medicine/hospitalist and was a founding father and board member of Sentara Medical Group and its hospitalist program formed in 1996. He was a founding member of Sentara Physicians Advisory group for EPIC implementation at Sentara from 2005 to 2023. He is a former President of the medical staff Sentara Hospitals Norfolk.
