My inventions include Combination Devices and related software that integrate assisted coughing with lung ventilation, and a Manual Lung Ventilation Device, that can provide resuscitation and ventilatory assistance. Experienced clinician and division director, with board certification in both pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine and extensive experience in medical education. Leadership roles in major multi-stakeholder academic projects, including the 2018 update of the CDC-sponsored Care Considerations for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Academic focus on respiratory complications of neuromuscular diseases, including standards of care, and clinical research on cardiopulmonary phenotypic variability in muscular dystrophy. Editorial board member of the journal Pediatric Pulmonology.
