Summary
- I have been a breast surgeon for over 20 years. I have operated on thousands of women with breast cancer from small non-invasive cancers to inflammatory breast cancer, complicated locally advanced tumors, and metastatic cancer. I have extensive experience with sentinel lymph node biopsy, including re-do SLNB and have performed hundreds of complete axillary lymph node dissections including many cases with bulky, adherent nodes. I have a lot of experience with BRCA mutation carriers and have performed hundreds of skin and nipple sparing mastectomies. I also treat benign breast disorders such as masses, lumps, knots, pain, nipple discharge. I have extensive experience with nipple ductoscopy where I place a 0.9 mm scope in the nipple drive it through the milk duct system in patients with pathological nipple discharge. I work closely with a network of outstanding physicians and providers from other disciplines who also care for breast cancer patients to coordinate individualized, comprehensive, state of the art care. I participate in several weekly Breast Tumor Conferences in Houston and continue to participate in clinical breast cancer research and teach medical students and residents.
