He is skilled in chronic nausea, chronic abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, evaluation and treatment of motility disorders, cyclic vomiting, GI disorders associated with joint hypermobility/, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome/, dysautonomia, constipation, motility disorders, chronic pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, chronic liver disease and advanced endoscopy procedures, such as G-tube placement, intersphincteric botulinum toxin injections, endoscopic dilation and EndoFLIP.
He is a leading expert on IB-Stim, a novel electrical nerve stimulator for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome. He helped develop a multidisciplinary Aerodigestive clinic and a multidisciplinary clinic focused on the treatment of dysautonomia and joint hypermobility.
He is currently involved in a nationwide study evaluating the use of IB-Stim. His other areas of research include motility disorders, disorders of brain-gut interaction and inflammatory bowel disease.
