• I’m a nurse practitioner with 9 years of experience as a clinician.
  
  My clinical experience:
  -NP in the pediatric emergency department at a Level 1 Trauma center
  -NP in a specialized pediatric orthopedic urgent care - diagnosing and treating acute injuries such as fractures, sprains, and sports injuries
  -NP for the Center for Cerebral Palsy - I managed the orthopedic care for children with cerebral palsy, including hip surveillance, peri-operative care, and spasticity management with baclofen pumps and botulinum toxin injections.
  -RN for 6 years in the surgical/transplant ICU and the emergency department
  -RN volunteer on primary care and surgical teams in Panama and Honduras.
  
  Outside of direct patient-care:
  -leader on multiple projects in my clinical settings, including a professional and family forum for cerebral palsy and writing and implementing policies for non-accidental trauma screening and anxiety management in the urgent care.
  
  Outside of nursing, I’m passionate about social justice, stopping climate change, and preserving our environment for our current and future generations to enjoy and thrive. I also love playing beach volleyball, hiking, diving, and traveling (our most recent trip was to Komodo National Park, Seoul, and Bali!).
