    Dr. Horne received his B. A. in Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1982. In 1987 he completed a Ph.D. in Neuropharmacology at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated Washington University Medical School in 1990 with Medical Doctorate.

    He is a leader in stereotactic surgery of the brain and spine. He is among a growing number of surgeons in the U.S. pioneering the application of robotic surgery to make spine surgery safer for patients. His skills encompass a broad scope of neurosurgery from brain and spinal tumors to surgery for degenerative spinal conditions. He has specific expertise in cervical spine surgery including cervical disc replacement, minimally invasive surgery, and kyphoplasty.

    Dr. Horne is a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He is past President and current Board Advisor of the Ohio State Neurosurgical Society and a former Delegate to the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies.

    Dr. Horne is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati, a consultant to the neurosurgical industry, and he provides litigation support to counsel for medical-legal issues.
