Summary
- I am a military physician specializing in Internal Medicine, currently serving as the lead physician (battalion surgeon) for the Soldier Recovery Unit (SRU) in Colorado Springs, CO. I supervise a ~30 person multidisciplinary team of nurse case managers, social workers, physical therapists, transition coordinators, an occupational therapist, and a nurse practitioner, all focused on providing excellent care and care coordination for the Army’s most medically complex soldiers. I also act as the senior medical liaison and advisor to the commander of the SRU and its administrators.
I am passionate about delivering excellent care to soldiers, veterans, and families, and using my skills as a leader to develop teams to achieve excellence in all aspects of care. This year, I achieved fellowship in the American College of Physicians, an accomplishment which reflects my dedication to advancing the profession of medicine. I also take a strong interest in flight and aerospace medicine, and currently serve on the Aerospace Medicine Association’s Ad Hoc Commercial Spaceflight Committee.
